Kelly are made from 4145H alloy steel , which are quenched and tempered along full length. Hardness range of 285~341 BHN and impact value of 54 joules as per ASTM A370 charpy-v , these values are guaranteed one inch below the surface .Kelly ends and drive sections , internal diameters and connections are machined and inspected to API specifications .Kelly bars are in inspected by an ultrasonic unit over their full length .
